Perugia
Perugia is a charming little town in Umbria known for its Perugina candies. It also is full of history, mainly from the Etruscan period, as Perugia was a major Etruscan city.

Perugia is very hilly. We had to hike up this road to get to our hotel. Needless to say, we were exhausted by the time we reached the hotel.

The arch was restored by the Romans and they carved "Augusta Perusia" onto it.

In the distance is the candy store where we filled up on Perugina candies. Yum!

Inside the tomb were 6 Etruscan sarcophagai and one Roman (it was built to look like a Roman temple rather than having a sculpture of the dead).

The hillside was littered with tombs from the Hellenistic Period.
