Our first visit to London on 22 September 2001.
At the US Embassy in London. Flowers and other forms of well wishings align the garden in support of the lives lost in the September 11, 2001 tragedy.
Flowers laid out as an offering at the Embassy.
American flag made of flowers.
The tent where the books of condolence are kept.
Jennifer looking at the flowers.
Row row row your boat... in Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park.
Dave's oar getting in the way of a picture of a merganser.
A shy merganser (wouldn't come closer for a better picture) They have long beaks and a spikey crest.
At the garden courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum. In the background is the magnificent glass scuplture of artist Dale Chihuly, a current featured exhibit.
Jennifer with the Chihuly sculpture in the background.
Dave sitting in front of another Chihuly sculpture. The installation, entitled "reeds", is made up of hundreds of five foot colored glass tubes. It's quite stunning.

Our second visit to London on 13 October 2001.
King's Cross Station, between platforms 9 and 10. We decided not to throw ourselves through the barrier to see if platform 9 3/4 was there.
Some Egyptian faience at the British Museum, where we spent many hours.
A view across the Thames towards Parliament and Big Ben. You can also see the London Eye, a ferris wheel built for the millennium celebration.
Emmy and James outside of the Leicester Square tube station.
Jennifer and David in Leicester Square.
