town in the Peak District. |

Ducks! |
| Our third visit to Bakewell on 17 November 2001 |
Dave in the woods as we hike from Bakewell to the nearby
Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Derbyshire. |
Checking the map to make sure we are still on the public
footpath. |
Jennifer climbing over a stile. |
Walking through a sheep field. We didn't see much as our eyes were
busy watching out for sheep droppings. |
It's a little hard to tell, but the orange color of the trees in
the surrounding wooded area was quite lovely. |
Approaching the Edensor Village, the village associated with
Chatsworth House. You can just make out the steeple of the church
above the trees. |
We liked the solitary clusters of trees. |
It is such a quaint little village. |
Chatsworth House! It took us a little over an hour to hike to
there from Bakewell. |
Walking towards the stables, now housing the cafe and gift shop.
It was all decorated for Christmas and very charming. |
Inside the Bakewell Silver Band was entertaining all the
visitors. |
| HATHERSAGE |
We visited Hathersage, a small town in the Peak District, on 1 September 2001. This is a view from the top of a hill. |
Another view from the top of the hill in Hathersage. It was just us and the sheep up there. |
