Portmeirion

On Wednesday we visited the delightful village of Portmeirion. It was built by a Welsh architect in the twenties to show how buildings could complement a natural landscape. The style is described as "Italianate", but it's pretty unique. The village is perhaps best known as the set of the '60s cult show The Prisoner. There's a small Prisoner gift shop, where I bought a small No. 6 badge, which now lives on my camera case strap.
